About Chris

​

Chris Kolade (MA Dip in SW) is an independent Parenting Consultant, Co-Parenting Coach and Parental Conflict Coach. 

 

Since beginning his career in Social Care in the mid-90s, Chris has worked in the public and private sectors as a social worker, consultant, parenting expert, and practice manager in Statutory and Early Intervention Services.

Chris is a Systemic Family Therapy Practitioner with Families and Couples, a certified Psychological Counsellor and has a master’s degree in Applied Social Studies and Social work.

Additionally, he is an accredited Mediator, certified Coach, and Mentor.

 

As a dedicated parent to twin girls, one with global delay, and a son, Chris has a deep-rooted interest in the developmental stages of children and developmental psychology.

He had worked ardently with young people with complex needs over the years. He also worked with their primary carers’, offering crisis intervention, parenting coaching, mentoring and outreach support.

Consolidating his decades-long professional experience as a social work consultant, Chris founded ‘United-in-Separation’ (UiS) in 2020. UiS is a unique therapeutic coaching and crisis intervention service that works creatively with parents in conflict to unlock their limitless potential to create or re-create happy memories for their children.
